HOW DOES IT WORK?
The immune system is classified into the innate system (white blood cells) and the adaptive immune system, which operates through stimulation by external or internal foreign substances. The strength of the immune system usually declines with age, studies suggest that by the age of 40, the strength of the immune system will decrease by 50%. When the strength of the immune system diminishes, our body’s ability to prevent and battle against infection and cancer cells will decrease too.
The key cells of the immunosurveillance mechanism, by which cancer cells are randomly destroyed by our immunity, are called Natural Killer or NK cells. NK cells’ function is to terminate tumour cells and cells infected with a virus in our bodies. Studies show that those with low NK cell count and activity will have a higher risk of cancer.
NK cell count is the counting of the NK cells in the body to indicate the risk of getting cancer or being infected with various kinds of viruses. And NK activity is the ability of NK cells to be able to destroy the infected cells or cancer cells before they are multiplied.

Blood will be drawn on-site at Kamalaya, NK Cells Count & Activity test results usually take from four to seven working days. Once your results are ready our functional medicine doctor will explain the outcome and discuss the next steps with you in an in-depth consultation.
The NK Cells Treatment may require from 21 days up to four months depending on the individual’s condition, in certain cases, guests may require returning for another course of treatment in the following months. Your NK Cells Treatment blood sample can safely be stored in the laboratory for up to 6 months, if you are returning for the follow-up treatment, please inform our wellness team minimum one month in advance in order for us to activate your blood sample for your next treatment.
