Dien Chan is a Vietnamese system of facial reflexology. The face is deeply connected to many aspects of our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Dien Chan specialises in mapping out these connections and harnessing them for healing and regeneration. Our facial expression carries habit- patterns that closely link to both emotional stress and to brain neurochemistry. Dien Chan treatments use advanced massage techniques and massage tools to release the patterns of tension and stress from the face, head, neck and shoulders. This creates a positive cascade effect throughout the body-mind, which helps reset the nervous system and bring a sense of balance and calmness to the mind. In turn, these treatments can effect deep healing, especially for people with patterns of stress, trauma, and fatigue.
Treatments are tailored to each person, and can either be used for general well-being, deep relaxation, or for addressing health imbalances. Foot, Hand, and Body Reflexology can be included for a deeper 90 minute immersion, called ‘Full Body Reflexology.’ Dien Chan greatly boosts circulation to all the tissues of the face, which promotes a healthy, glowing complexion and so could be thought of as a natural facelift. Alex will be also sharing from his upcoming book “Original Face: A New Look at Health & Healing” during his evening wellness talk. The book offers a deep dive into the dynamics of the face, emotions, and the nervous system, and gives many self-care massage techniques drawn from Dien Chan, Qi Gong, and meditation.
